Where it Began

I’ve been writing songs for a long time just for fun, but that all changed when my daughter Layla passed away suddenly — just one week after her 25th birthday.

There was no warning.
No time to prepare.
It was the most heartbreaking moment of my life.

After losing her… songwriting became more than creativity.
It became survival.

As I planned her service, I searched for a song that felt worthy of her:
Something that captured her joy… her kindness… her light.

Nothing felt personal enough.

So I wrote Layla’s Light

And when her song played, it felt like Layla was in the room with us.

That moment changed everything..

A young woman with blonde hair and pink streaks smiling while holding a small black dog with a scruffy coat.
A young girl with long blonde hair wearing a blue dress with decorative details, earrings, and bracelets, smiling against a plain white background.
A woman sitting outdoors on a wooden bench, wearing sunglasses, a large white sun hat, a beige zip-up fleece, and black shorts. She has tattoos on her left arm and is smiling on a sunny day with trees and a clear blue sky in the background.

From Grief To Purpose

That experience showed me something profound:

Music can heal in ways words cannot.
And every family deserves a tribute that is personal, heartfelt, and deeply meaningful.

So I began writing tribute songs for other families.
Each time, I saw the same response:

Tears. Smiles. Connection.
A moment of peace in the middle of loss.

This wasn’t just music anymore.
This had purpose.

A young girl sitting on the floor in front of a refrigerator, holding a bottle of ketchup, wearing a white jacket, a light-colored shirt, a dark skirt, and sneakers, with her hair in a ponytail and smiling.
